Graeme Ditchburn is an architect, Certified Passivhaus Designer, gardener, cyclist and father-of-two based in Laurieston in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. 

Graeme studied at the University of Strathclyde where he gained a 1st class honours degree and Masters degree with distinction. He then worked for practices in Glasgow and Wellington, NZ, before joining award-winning local practice Simon Winstanley Architects in 2007. There he gained a wealth of experience, working on a wide variety of residential projects from bespoke low energy houses to alterations and extensions and work on listed buildings. 

Following a keen interest in environmentally conscious design, Graeme completed the Certified Passivhaus Designer course with the AECB (Association of Environment Conscious Building) in 2022. He also recently completed the AECB Retrofit Foundation course in order to apply his knowledge of Passivhaus principles to the improvement of existing buildings.
